Job summary

Havertys Furniture in Austin seeks an assistant to support the Display Coordinator with floor moves and setup, while also handling customer sales, payments, and deliveries. The role may require assisting on the delivery truck and performing office duties as needed.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years in customer service, plus basic computer skills and strong math. The position requires physical work including lifting up to 150 pounds and occasional housekeeping

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1–3 years public/customer service experience.
• Experience handling money or cash transactions preferred.
• Training and/or combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with floor moves and processing of new accessories.
• Assist lighting by aiming lighting on furniture and accessories.
• Move and arrange heavy merchandise on showroom floor.
• Place POP materials and signs, manage displays.
• Help customers carry heavy merchandise to vehicles.
• Keep merchandise stocked and functional; order parts as needed.
