Job summary

Haverty Furniture Companies, Inc is seeking a Display Delivery Assistant to help set up merchandise in showrooms and assist with furniture deliveries to customers' homes. You will join a team focused on superior customer service, integrity, quality, and teamwork.

The role involves unloading items, assisting with floor moves, lighting adjustments, and keeping showrooms organized. A strong emphasis is placed on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in retail, warehouse, or delivery roles preferred.
• Physical ability to lift and move up to 150 pounds.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and assist on the delivery truck as required.
• Problem-solving skills for minor repairs and part orders.
• Knowledge of safety protocols.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Keep merchandise on showroom floor and repair parts as needed.
• Support moving and arranging merchandise on showroom floor.
• Assist with deliveries to customers' homes.
• Unload furniture and place it within the customer’s home safely.
• Assist Display Coordinator with floor moves and lighting adjustments.
• Ensure POP materials are properly placed and signs visible.
• Help customers load furniture into their vehicles.
• Maintain showroom cleanliness and light housekeeping.
• Keep stockroom orderly and exits unobstructed.
