Job summary

Havertys Furniture Companies, Inc. is seeking Display/DOT Delivery Assistants to help set up showroom merchandise and deliver furniture to customers' homes. You will work in a team-focused environment emphasizing exceptional customer service, integrity, quality, and teamwork.

The role requires lifting up to 150 pounds, a valid driver's license, and willingness to work Wednesdays through Saturdays with typical hours 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Benefits and a daily pay option are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• No delivery experience required but preferred; training provided.
• Must have a current Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 150 pounds during shift.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in retail, warehouse, or delivery roles is preferred.
• Willingness to work weekends and varied schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assist with showroom merchandise setup and movement on the floor.
• Help deliver furniture to customers' homes and assist on delivery trucks.
• Unload furniture safely and place items in customers' homes.
• Support floor moves, lighting placement, and signage placement.
• Assist customers with loading merchandise into their vehicles.
• Maintain showroom cleanliness and stockroom organization.
