Job summary

Havertys Furniture is seeking a Display Delivery Assistant to help set up merchandise in our showrooms and assist with furniture deliveries to customers’ homes. You will ride with delivery drivers and ensure a positive, high-service experience for every customer.

You will be part of a team focused on service, integrity, quality and teamwork, with training provided and opportunities to advance. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 150 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in retail, warehouse, or delivery roles preferred.
• Physical ability to lift and move up to 150 pounds.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and assist on delivery trucks as required.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Keep merchandise on the showroom floor in functional condition and order parts as needed.
• Support moving and arranging showroom merchandise.
• Assist with deliveries to customers' homes.
• Unload furniture from trucks and place it in the customer’s home.
• Assist with floor moves and processing of new accessories.
