Job summary

Smithey Ironware Company seeks a part-time Showroom Associate to greet visitors, guide them through the cast iron and carbon steel collection, and help them choose the right piece for their needs.

This on-site role requires a warm personality, premium retail experience, and comfort with an iPad POS (Shopify). Availability for roughly 20 hours weekly, including Saturdays, is expected.

Qualifications

• Retail or hospitality experience preferred.
• Premium/boutique retail experience preferred.
• Interest in cooking, cast iron, or craftsmanship a plus.

This is a part-time, on-site role of about 20 hours per week,generally 12:00to 5:00, Wednesday through Saturday.

About This Role

As a Showroom Associate, you are the face of the brand to every guest who walks through the door.You'llwelcome visitors, guide them through the collection, answer questions about cooking and care, and help them find the right piece, whetherit'stheir first skillet or a gift meant to last generations.

What You'll Do

• Greet and welcome every guest warmly and make them feel at home
• Guide customers through our cast iron and carbon steel collection, sharing product knowledge and the Smithey story
• Answer questions about cooking, seasoning, care, and restoration
• Help customers choose the right piece and complete their purchase at the register
• Keep the showroom clean, well-stocked, and beautifully presented
• Represent Smithey's standard of quality and hospitality in every interaction
  

What We're Looking For

• A warm, outgoing personality and genuine enjoyment of talking with people in person
• Retail, hospitality, or in-person customer service experience, ideally in a premium or boutique setting
• Interest in cooking, cast iron, or craftsmanship, or eagerness to learn
• Reliable and punctual, and comfortable working Saturdays
• Comfortable using an iPad point-of-sale system (Shopify)
• Able to be on your feet and handle cookware throughout a shift

Availability

• About 20 hours per week,generally 12:00pm to 5:00 pm, Wednesday through Saturday.
