Job summary
Sight & Sound in Branson, Missouri is seeking a Full-Time Show Automation Technician to support technical elements during shows, repair department equipment, and assist with development, installation, programming, and maintenance of projects. Flexible hours and a strong safety mindset are essential.
The role requires knowledge of electronics, automation consoles, video servers, and live production. You will work closely with Stage Management and Automation & Effects to ensure high-quality
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of electronic and electrical systems.
- Hardware, software, and network computer skills.
- Advanced electronic and mechanical troubleshooting for lighting, projection, special effects and communications equipment.
- Knowledge of programming and operation of video media servers.
- Live production experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate and expedient repairs to lighting, projection, special effects, and communications during performances, rehearsals, and other times as needed.
- Operate the automation consoles during shows and execute cues in a timely, safe, and controlled manner.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of detailed cue sheets and start-up/shutdown checklists.
- Serve as primary communication contact for show element status with Automation & Effects, Media/Art, Deck Chief, and Stage Management during shows.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
