Owen Industries in Fargo, ND is seeking a Shotblast Operator/Production Worker for the 2nd shift. Training on the 1st shift will be provided for two weeks before transitioning to nights.

The role involves operating a shot blaster to remove mill scale from metal parts, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery while supporting team efforts and continuous improvement.

Responsabilidades

• Operate shot blaster equipment safely and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Set up and operate machine according to job orders and specifications.
• Feed material and adjust machine settings to meet production requirements.
• Monitor machine and product quality, reporting deviations.
• Check quality against job specifications and report any deviation.
• Shot blast parts to specified parameters and inspect outcomes.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Support other crewmembers and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Salary Range: $22.00 To $24.00 Hourly

Hours: 4:00 p.m. - 2:30 am M-TH with OT available as needed

Pay: $22 - 24/HR + $2.00 Shift Differential

Training- 1st shift working 5:30 am - 4:00 pm for 2 weeks

Outline of the role

This position will be responsible for running the shot blaster to remove mill scale from metal parts.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Operates equipment in a safe manner and uses safe work habits. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Follows specifications or procedures for set-up and machine operation using job orders
• Feed material into the machine and control/adjust machine settings
• To monitor and maintain the machine.
• To check quality against job specifications and report any deviation.
• Shot blast parts to specified parameters.
• To review work in progress and report accordingly.
• Regular Attendance and Punctuality
• Other job duties as directed
• To provide accurate and timely information about work in progress.
• To support and encourage other crewmembers.
• To comply with NPS health and safety requirements and policies.
• To achieve required quality standards.
• To achieve on-time delivery to internal and external customers
• To promote good departmental and interdepartmental team spirit.
• To participate in and support Continuous Improvement Programs, HR and other company initiatives.
• To carry out duties in accordance with ISO standards and other company procedures

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. Environment is not fully climate controlled.
