Job summary

Diamondback America is seeking a motivated Sandblast/Powder Coat General Laborer for the 2nd shift to support blasting, deburring, cleaning and prepping parts finished by CNC machines.

Responsibilities include feeding abrasive material, preparing surfaces for powder coat, masking areas, loading heavy parts, and maintaining equipment in a clean workspace. Background and drug screen are required; ATF firearm possession compliance is also required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery is required.
• Ability to read written instructions and follow part prints.

Responsibilities

• Shovel or pour sand, grit, or abrasive material into the machine and monitor supply.
• Assist in preparation work for powder coat: etching, rinsing, and sanding.
• Prepare surfaces for abrading, masking areas as needed.
• Lift and move heavy equipment and parts onto racks or cabinets.
• Maintain and clean equipment and work areas; report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain sandblasting equipment, including cleaning and changing nozzles.

JOB TITLE: SANDBLAST/POWDER COAT GENERAL LABORER 2nd Shift

Job Summary

Diamondback America is currently seeking a motivated and talented individual for our Sandblast/Powder Coat General Laborer position. We are looking for a highly driven individual to be responsible for completing and managing all aspects of blasting various parts finished by CNC machines. Including deburring, cleaning, and maintaining quality of final products.

Position Qualifications/Requirements

• 2+ years' experience operating machinery
• 1+ years’ experience in manufacturing, industrial machine shop, or related work environment

Preferred Skills

• Ability to read and follow written instructions and comprehend part prints
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work on a team or independently, provide help/assistance to others

CORE DUTIES

• Responsible for shoveling or pouring sand, grit, or other abrasive material into the machine, and monitoring and maintaining an adequate supply of the abrasive in the hopper
• Assist in preparation work for powder coat process such as etching, rinsing, and sanding
• Prepare surfaces for the abrading action, protects specific areas of the work surface using masking film, tape, and rubber
• Lifting, carrying, and setting up heavy equipment and parts onto racks, into tumbling barrels, or into cabinets
• Preparing parts for the paint shop, steam cleaning motors and chassis, and other general labor may be included in the sandblaster’s job duties
• Maintain equipment and work areas are clean and orderly, and that any unsafe working conditions are corrected or reported immediately
• Maintenance of the sandblasting equipment, such as cleaning and changing nozzles

HOURS

• 2nd shift position
• Monday through Thursday, 2:30 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.
• Friday - overtime as needed

Special Requirements

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
