Own the shopper journey, partner with sales and agencies, and drive a test-and-learn culture to optimize investments and performance across platforms.
Our client is an entrepreneurial, private-equity-backed beauty and personal-care company with a growing portfolio of consumer brands. The business delivers high-quality, accessible products through innovation and on-trend design. Its fast-paced culture is led by executives with deep consumer packaged goods experience and strong records of building brands and businesses.
Own and advance shopper marketing and retail-media strategy across the full brand portfolio. Translate brand priorities and shopper insights into connected retailer programs that increase the combined impact of every marketing touchpoint. Bring clarity to ambiguity, establish effective ways of working, and raise the organization’s retail-media fluency and performance.
Portfolio strategy: Develop a cohesive shopper-marketing and retail-media approach across the brand portfolio, balancing shared standards with retailer and brand-specific needs.
Integrated campaign planning: Connect retail media with social, influencer, public relations, national media, e-commerce and in-store execution so campaigns show up consistently across the shopper journey.
Retail-media leadership: Serve as the internal expert on platforms including Roundel, Ulta Beauty Media and Walmart Connect; stay current as capabilities, formats and measurement options evolve.
Agency partnership: Set clear direction for media-agency partners, evaluate recommendations critically, and challenge plans when the data or business opportunity supports a stronger path.
Cross-functional execution: Partner closely with brand marketing, sales, e-commerce, Amazon and agency teams to translate commercial priorities into coordinated activation plans.
Performance and optimization: Define success measures, synthesize campaign and shopper data, identify actionable insights, and build a test-and-learn discipline that improves future investment.
Capability building: Create practical processes, tools and operating rhythms that clarify ownership, reduce siloed work and make retail media an integrated part of the marketing mix.
Change leadership: Earn trust across teams, help stakeholders navigate shifting responsibilities, and move the organization toward a more connected, high-accountability model.
Owner's mindset: Moves beyond the assignment, identifies adjacent opportunities and recommends a stronger course when the evidence supports it.
Curious and informed: Digs into shopper behavior, platform changes and business context rather than accepting standard answers.
Analytical storyteller: Synthesizes complex data and communicates clear recommendations that business partners can understand and act on.
Constructive challenger: Brings a point of view, asks sharp questions and influences agencies and colleagues without creating friction.
Builder in ambiguity: Creates structure where none exists, makes progress without perfect information and remains comfortable as responsibilities evolve.
Scrappy collaborator: Combines large-company best practices with the pace, flexibility and hands-on execution of a high-growth business.
Energized by the mission: Brings genuine passion for the brands, the consumer and the opportunity to build a modern beauty company.
