About the Role

KITSCH is currently looking for a motivated and talented Shopify Developer to join our Technology Team.

What will be your responsibilities?

• Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build responsive, high-performing e-commerce storefronts.
• Build reusable components and scalable front-end features aligned with Shopify's theme architecture and best practices.
• Integrate third-party applications and custom APIs to extend Shopify functionality.
• Work closely with designers and project managers to translate UI/UX mockups into seamless digital experiences.
• Optimize website performance with a focus on load times, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility.
• Debug and resolve issues across a variety of browsers, devices, and Shopify environments.
• Maintain clean, modular, and well-documented code using version control tools such as Git.
• Stay current with Shopify updates, web development trends, and emerging tools or frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to process improvements across the dev team.

What are we looking for in you?

• Experience
  • 2+ years of experience as a Web Developer with a focus on Shopify Theme development.
  • Experience in Shopify Ecosystem (Online Store 2.0, Shopify CLI, and App Integrations).
  • Experience in E-Commerce.
  • Desirable: Experience in Beauty Industry
• Required Skills
  • Shopify & Liquid: Proficiency in Shopify theme architecture, templating language (Liquid), Metafields, and Customizations.
  • JavaScript: Strong skills in Vanilla JavaScript and modern frameworks/libraries (Alpine.js or React for headless setups).
  • Front-End Development: Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS), and responsive design principles.
  • API Integration: Experience working with Shopify’s Admin and Storefront APIs, as well as third-party APIs.
  • Version Control: Proficiency with Git (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket).
• Desirable Skills
  • Understanding of Shopify Functions, Checkout Extensibility, and headless architecture using Hydrogen.
• Soft Skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and code quality.
  • Clear communicator and effective team collaborator.
