Position Description

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Sets up and operates high-frequency, AC and DC welding equipment
• Examines detailed drawings or specifications to determine job, material, and equipment requirements
• Performs cutting, shaping, bending, heating, or hamming of metal to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies
• Sets up and operates hand and machine tools, torches, and welding equipment
• Assembles parts and structures by welding or bolting
• Performs routine inspections on equipment and reports defects or repairs needed
• Adheres to safety policies to maintain a safe work environment
• Possibility to learn CNC machine operation

Position Requirements

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

• Ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends as required
• Proficiency in GTAW (TIG) welding on aluminum and stainless steel
• Proficiency in GMAW (MIG) welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Attention to detail and ability to operate grinders precisely
• Experience with FLUX CORE welding preferred
• Sufficient education or equivalent experience and training
• Physical ability to handle heavy materials and tools, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must obtain necessary training and certifications before operating equipment
• Valid driver's license or reliable transportation
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable attendance and adherence to schedule
• Ability to read drawings and measure accurately
• Ability to pass a weld test
• Experience in prepping and applying prime paint is a plus
• Willingness to work overtime and on-site as needed
