This position is responsible for repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in the shop. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication with team members.
Responsibilities:
Education, Experience, and Skills:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required. An Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology or four years of apprenticeship experience is preferred. Technician classification depends on experience, knowledge, and competence.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for handling or feeling. Also required are reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing. Accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Work Environment:
Frequent exposure to wet/humid conditions and moving mechanical parts; occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, weather extremes, and vibration. Noise level ranges from moderate to loud.
