Shop Mechanics are responsible for the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on various heavy equipment. Training is provided.

Shop Mechanic Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical problems, including engines, transmissions, and other essential components of heavy machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Perform maintenance on diesel engines, addressing fuel systems, exhaust, and emissions issues.
• Implement preventive maintenance procedures.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 7 years of relevant experience.
• Factory, vocational, or mechanical training is a plus.
• Experience with heavy equipment such as excavators, forklifts, and compactors.
