Job summary

APAC Central Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Shop Laborer in Oklahoma to assist the shop supervisors and maintain all company equipment. You will support the Shop Manager and Mechanics in their daily duties and ensure a safe, productive work environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with work orders, parts, and driver reports, maintaining inventories, and aiding in repairs as needed while adhering to OSHA/MSHA regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction and paving.
• Ability to read, write and do basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment. Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.
• Assist in completing work orders and purchase orders accurately and timely.
• Assist in completing driver reports and ensure equipment availability for the next shift.
• Assist in ordering parts (as required) and maintaining appropriate inventories as directed.
• Assist in repairing malfunctioning equipment and parts as necessary.
• Fulfill the Company’s mission statement personally and within the shop.
• Follow all established company policies.
• Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
• Other duties as may be assigned.
