Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking a Shop Technician for our Elko, NV branch. You will perform quality repairs and maintenance on heavy mining equipment, ensuring safety and reliability to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in Diesel Technology or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in heavy equipment repair, diesel mechanics, maintenance, or a related field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment, interpret technical documentation, and complete safe, high‑quality repairs.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and overtime as operational needs requi

Responsabilités

• Perform shop repairs, maintenance, and rebuilds on heavy mining equipment and components.
• Remove, inspect, repair, reassemble, and install mechanical, hydraulic, and powertrain components.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and component failures using technical procedures and diagnostic tools.
• Perform failure analysis, testing, and adjustments to ensure repairs meet specifications.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and minimal rework.
• Follow all shop safety, JSA, contamination-control, and HAZMAT requirements.
• Accurately document repairs, parts used, inspection findings, and additional work required.
