Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking a Field Technician based at our Elko, NV branch to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy mining equipment.

You will work on major components, troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems, and ensure repairs meet quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of hands-on heavy equipment experience, with a strong safety mindset and flexibility to work overtime or varied shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on heavy equipment repair, maintenance, or equivalent experience.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain heavy mining equipment and major components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems to identify failures and minimize downtime.
• Perform component removal, installation, disassembly, reassembly, testing, and adjustment.
• Conduct inspections and root-cause failure analysis to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards for safety and workmanship.
• Follow all safety, contamination control, and HAZMAT procedures.
