Job summary

PALFINGER is hiring a Shop Apprentice in Winter Garden, FL. You will repair, maintain, and troubleshoot lifting equipment, perform inspections, and document work. This hands-on role focuses on safety and accuracy in a dynamic service environment.

The position requires 1–3 years of mechanical experience, strong hydraulics/electrical skills, and basic computer proficiency. You supply your own hand tools; PALFINGER tools are provided. Training and growth are offered within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, with 1–3 years of mechanical experience or training.
• Strong proficiency in mechanical, hydraulics, electrical systems, troubleshooting, and welding.
• Basic computer skills with knowledge of Windows applications and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform shop repairs and troubleshooting on cranes, forklifts, trucks, platforms, and trailers.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, inspections, warranty service, and emergency repairs as needed.
• Communicate diagnosed issues and needed repairs to the shop manager.
• Complete service documentation including estimates, work orders, parts, and labor records.
• Maintain safe, clean, and orderly work areas while complying with safety regulations.
