Job summary

AGCO Corporation in Indiana seeks a Shop Technician to repair machinery and components in a busy shop. The role includes testing, diagnosing, ordering parts, preparing technical reports, warranty reporting and maintaining equipment assets. Location is in the Lanesville, IN area with focus on quality and safety.

You will use test equipment, blueprints and service manuals to troubleshoot repairs and ensure proper QA. Candidates should have 3+ years of related experience and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• 3+ years’ experience in similar position.
• Experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment.
• Experience with test equipment and tools to analyze problems.
• Proficient with computers and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute repair plans with proper parts and QA testing.
• Generate and file service reports, parts orders and work orders.
• Use test equipment, blueprints, and service manuals to troubleshoot repairs.
• Manage parts and tools through the company ordering system.
• Operate company computer systems to manage workflows.
• Care for tools and major shop equipment.
• Contribute to positive interactions with customers and coworkers.
