Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Shop Technician Level 1 to evaluate, repair and test submersible wastewater pumps at branch locations. You will operate shop equipment, use hand and power tools, and maintain accurate records in the work-order system.

Role requires HS diploma, 0–2 years’ technical experience, and ability to travel for training. The position offers PTO, health/dental/vision benefits and an company contribution to an investment savings plan.

• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience desired.

THE ROLE :

The Shop Technician Level 1 will be responsible for evaluating and repairing submersible wastewater pumps (Flygt) at branch locations. This role includes mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Product specific training will be provided. May interact with customers.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate, repair, and conduct mechanical and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalent

DAY IN THE LIFE :

In this role, the working environment is an industrial shop setting where use of PPE is required. May also include exposure to hazardous material and loud noises. The physical demands may include but not limited to, standing and lifting to 50 lbs. In addition, this role may require overtime, and travel may be needed for training sessions.
