Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled automotive technician in Ardmore, OK, to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across vehicle systems including HVAC, electrical, and drivetrain. You will handle tire services, DOT inspections, on-call emergency road service, and document all work with parts, labor, and warranty details.

The role requires Air Brake, DOT Medical Card, and Section 609 HVAC certifications, with ASEs preferred.

Qualifications

• Air Brake Certification is required.
• DOT Medical Card is required.
• Section 609 HVAC Certification is required for HVAC service.
• ASE Certifications are preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Ability to attend HVAC, Electrical, and DOT training.
• Ability to obtain ASE, DOT, and other certifications.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, nights, and on-call schedules as needed.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform demanding physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance services and tire services.
• Handle emergency road service calls and DOT inspections.
• Use J-Pro, FleetCross, and OEM software to diagnose and repair vehicle systems.
• Complete work orders documenting labor, parts, and warranty information.
• Repair engines, emissions, drivetrain, wheel-end, air system, steering, suspension, electrical, and HVAC components.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and safety; ensure tools and service vehicles are safe.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service and assist with other duties.
• Mentor junior technicians as needed.

Job description

Perform all preventive maintenance services, tire services, and emergency road service calls
Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
Perform service calls, including night and on-call assignments
Use J-Pro, FleetCross, and OE software to diagnose and repair vehicle systems
Complete work orders accurately, documenting labor, parts, and warranty information
Perform intermediate to advanced engine, emissions, drivetrain, wheel-end, air system, steering, suspension, electrical, and HVAC repairs
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, tools, and equipment
Ensure tools, jacks, and service vehicles remain in safe working condition
Complete LMS training and OSHA Skills Demonstrations as required
Provide friendly, professional, and competent customer service
Follow company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements
Assist with other assigned duties
Advanced-level technicians may mentor shop personnel and serve as technical subject matter experts
