Job summary

Jobtailor seeking an automotive technician to perform preventative maintenance, tire repair, air system work, electrical diagnostics, and roadside service at our Gretna shop. You will follow safety policies, complete work orders, and uphold Customer Satisfaction.

Responsibilities include servicing tools and vehicles, maintaining LMS training, obtaining ASE/DOT certifications as required, and working with a team to meet weekend/holiday needs.

Qualifications

DOT Medical Card required.
Ability to obtain ASE, DOT, and other relevant certifications as required.
Successful completion of internal technician training programs.
Valid driver's license and ability to be insured to drive company vehicles.
Reliable transportation and phone.
Availability to work weekends, holidays, and as needed.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, if applicable.
Demonstrated commitment to friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with team members.
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
Physical attendance at the primary work location is required.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned training programs, evaluations, and e-learning within designated timeframes.
Perform preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacement.
Grease trucks and trailers.
Perform tire repair, replacement, and related services.
Conduct CSA inspections and emergency road service calls.
Perform basic electrical diagnosis and repairs, including lighting, wiring, and 7-way replacements.
Perform minor trailer maintenance and body repairs.
Conduct basic air system repairs, including airline replacement, fittings, glad hands, and splices.
Perform battery testing and replacement.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and work areas.
Ensure tools, equipment, and service vehicles are clean, functional, and properly maintained.
Properly store parts, tires, and supplies.
Accurately complete work orders, including labor, parts, and customer information.
Ensure total customer satisfaction and uphold company integrity.
Follow company safety policies and procedures.
Complete OSHA Skills Demonstration and required safety training.
Maintain current LMS training requirements.
Provide friendly, professional, and competent customer service.
Report to work as scheduled and on time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
