Job summary
Herc Rentals in Sulphur, LA is seeking a Shop Technician- Pump, Power & HVAC to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on our heavy fleet, ensuring equipment stays on the rental-ready line. You will diagnose engines, DC electrical systems, hydraulics, pumps and fuel systems, operate test equipment, and document service logs while mentoring junior mechanics under the shop lead.

Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in heavy equipment repair.
- Owner of hand/air/electric tools to perform repairs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on Herc-owned fleet at the branch.
- Operate and test equipment to verify quality standards.
- Diagnose engines, hydraulics, electrical and fuel systems.
- Enter work orders and manage parts in the fleet system.
- Mentor C-level mechanics and support shop lead.
