Job description

The Service Technician is skilled in assembly/disassembly and repair of heavy-duty equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components of heavy-duty equipment. Candidate must supply own tools.

Salary: Starting at $25.00/HR
Competitive pay based on experience.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Has prior experience in heavy-duty construction or heavy equipment machinery
• Has prior experience in a heavy equipment dealership setting
• Is open to overtime as needed
• If lacking professional experience, has the drive and will to learn on the job
• Has strong problem-solving skills
• Is detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
• Is proficient in mechanical systems (transmissions, hydraulics, engines, etc.)
• Must be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced shop environment
• Associates degree in Diesel/Hydraulics (experience considered in lieu of formal education)
• Displays a desire to improve and advance in the position
• Has a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL

• Demonstrate a basic knowledge of engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, powertrains, and fuel systems, and be able to perform repairs with supervision
• Perform basic PM maintenance and parts replacement, and remove and install major components with minimal supervision
• Follow all safety policies and demonstrate safe work habits
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance and work area
• Possess a basic set of standard and metric mechanics tools
• Follow directions accurately
• Complete all required paperwork for tasks performed
• Demonstrate basic computer knowledge and typing skills
• Move various types of heavy-duty equipment as needed
• Attend and complete factory and regional training schools on specific products
• Perform all other duties as assigned
