Job summary

Velocity Truck Rental and Leasing is a fast-growing company seeking a Shop Support in Rancho Dominguez, CA for 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday–Friday. You will help keep the service shop safe and organized, assist with equipment and tool requests, and support daily operations while upholding the company values of speed, value and trust.

You will perform safety checks, maintain cleanliness, manage the tool room, and help with special shop projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple demands, prioritize and stay organized.
• Ability to work well in a process driven and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily and weekly safety checklists and inspections.
• Assist shop employees with requests for equipment and tools.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the tool room.
• Drain oil pan carts into the oil waste barrels.
• Monitor tools check in and check out procedure.
• Assist with special projects in the shop such as foot printing.
• Perform cleaning projects including the management of hazardous waste.
• Perform job related duties as assigned and needed.

VTRL is looking for a Shop Support to join our team in Rancho Dominguez, CA for following hours: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm!

What You’ll Do:

The Shop Support will be assigned various duties that will be essential to the safe and effective operation of the shop. The Shop Support is responsible for the overall cleanliness and organization of the service shop to ensure a safe work environment. The Shop Support must demonstrate behaviors consistent with company values - Speed, Value, Trust - in all interactions with customers, coworkers and vendors.

Job Duties:

• Complete daily and weekly safety checklists and inspections
• Assist shop employees with requests for equipment and tools

• Manages day-to-day operations of the tool room

Compensation:

• $21-$23/hourly (depending on experience and qualifications)
• Full Time position

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
• Must be able to pass post-offer drug screening, physical examination (including a lift test), and background check
