Job summary

Velocity Vehicle Group in Whittier, CA is seeking a Shop Support to join the Service Department. The role supports daily shop operations, keeps the tool room organized, and helps maintain cleanliness across the facility.

You will handle tool check-in/check-out, assist with projects, and support technicians while aiming to develop into a technician role. The position runs Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with a focus on safety and reliable equipment handling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple demands. Prioritize, and stay organized. Able to work well in a process driven fast environment.
• Maintains the wash rags and steam clean bay used in pressure washes.
• Drain the oil pan carts into the oil waste barrels.
• Monitors tools check in and check out procedure.
• Manages day-to-day operations of the tool room.
• Assists with special projects in the shop such as foot printing.
• Desire to become a technician and mechanical aptitude.
• Self-motivated and self-starter, Positive attitude
• Post-Secondary vocational education strongly preferred.
• Must have valid Class B Driver’s License
• Ability to understand and adhere to Company Policies in all areas.

Responsibilities

• The shop support will be assigned to various duties in the Service Department that interacts, participates and assists the effective operation of the shop.
• The Shop Helper is responsible for the overall cleanliness and organization of the tool room.
