Job summary

Velocity Vehicle Group is seeking a Shop Support in Whittier, CA to assist the Service Department with day-to-day tasks. The role focuses on keeping the tool room organized, supporting technicians, and ensuring safety and efficiency in a fast-paced shop environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn. Valid Class B license is required; post-secondary vocational training is a plus. Monday–Friday schedule with daytime hours.

VVG is looking for a Shop Support to join our team in Whittier, CA for following hours: Monday-Friday between 10:00am-6:30pm!

Essential Functions and Purpose

The shop support will be assigned to various duties in the Service Department that interacts, participates and assists the effective operation of the shop. The Shop Helper is responsible for the overall cleanliness and organization of the tool room.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or its equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple demands. Prioritize, and stay organized. Able to work well in a process driven fast environment.
• Maintains the wash rags and steam clean bay used in pressure washes.
• Drain the oil pan carts into the oil waste barrels.
• Monitors tools check in and check out procedure.
• Manages day-to-day operations of the tool room.
• Assists with special projects in the shop such as foot printing.
• Performs special cleaning projects and job-related duties as assigned and needed.
• Desire to become a technician and mechanical aptitude.
• Self-motivated and self-starter, Positive attitude
• Post-Secondary vocational education strongly preferred.
• Must have valid Class B Driver’s License
• Ability to understand and adhere to Company Policies in all areas.
