Job summary

G&W Equipment, Inc. is seeking a Shop Service Technician for our Charlotte, NC branch. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts, aerial lifts, and other powered material handling equipment on site.

Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, maintaining both internal combustion and electric-powered equipment, and delivering a positive on-site experience to customers.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems.
• Experience evaluating and repairing forklifts and heavy equipment.
• Must be computer literate to use tablets, laptops and online resources.
• Must have a valid drivers license and pass pre-employment screenings.

Job description

As a Shop Service Technician operating in our Charlotte, NC branch you will be responsible forperforming preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing forklifts, aerial lifts, and other powered material handling equipment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Safely and independently troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Maintain and repair internal combustion and electric-powered equipment
• Provide communication and a positive experience to customers while onsite

Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge and understanding of Hydraulic Systems
• Previous experience evaluating and repairing forklifts, heavy equipment, tractors, automobiles or similar pieces of equipment
• Must be computer literate, able to use tablet and a laptop for field diagnostics and internet resources
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, be able to pass preemployment drug screens, background checks, and physicals.
