Job summary

G&W Equipment, Inc. is seeking a Shop Service Technician for our Charlotte, NC branch. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts, aerial lifts, and other powered material handling equipment on site.

Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, maintaining both internal combustion and electric-powered equipment, and delivering a positive on-site experience to customers.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems.
• Experience evaluating and repairing forklifts and heavy equipment.
• Must be computer literate to use tablets, laptops and online resources.
• Must have a valid drivers license and pass pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Safely and independently troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Maintain and repair internal combustion and electric-powered equipment.
• Provide communication and a positive experience to customers while onsite.
