Job summary

Cavender Auto Family is hiring a Full-Time Shop Porter at Cadillac of Lubbock, Texas. The role supports the service and shop environment by housekeeping, cleaning signs, trash receptacles, and keeping work areas presentable and safe.

The position emphasizes safety, OSHA compliance, and teamwork. It offers full-time hours, competitive hourly pay, and benefits while promoting internal growth and long-term careers within the Cavender family.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs.
• Must pass MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps technician stalls, service department and body shop floors, showroom, halls and vending areas.
• Cleans all signs, posters, service signs, mirrors, fans and vending machines.
• Cleans driveway and sidewalks, removing any debris as necessary.
• Empties and cleans all trash receptacles, inside and outside.
• Cleans oil storage tanks according to procedures.
• Drains and disposes of used oil filters properly.
• Removes any old scrap parts from shop after checking with parts manager.
• Assists technicians with oil and water spills and with emptying drain tubs.
• Understands and complies with OSHA Right-to-Know and other federal, state, and local regulations.
• Uses proper eye, hand and body protection when using products that require protection.
• Other tasks as assigned.
