Job summary

Wilson Construction Company is seeking a Shop Mechanic for our Woodburn, OR facility. You will perform comprehensive repair, maintenance, and upfitting of company-owned equipment and trucks, ensuring fleet reliability and safety while coordinating with field crews and management.

The role requires substantial heavy-mechanic experience, plus the ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. CDL is a plus, and on-site work with personal tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years heavy mechanic experience for heavy duty work.
• 2–3 years light/medium duty mechanic experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; CDL is a plus.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems; basic fabrication skills.
• On-site Woodburn, OR; valid driver's license; own tools; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy duty repair and diagnostics on hydraulic, engine, electrical, brake, drivetrain, and aerial equipment.
• Maintain light/medium duty trucks (Ford/Dodge); focus on diesel, gas, electrical, and brakes.
• Manage upfitting and modification projects for field-ready vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain safety and compliance; operate in drug-free environment; pass drug tests post-offer.
• Collaborate with field crews and shop team; be willing to learn and work overtime or weekends as needed.
