Job summary

Transport National in Wisconsin is seeking a skilled Technician to join our shop team. You’ll perform maintenance and repairs on company-owned tractors and trailers, focusing on safe, efficient operation and on-road reliability.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing electrical, brake, suspension, clutch, and A/C systems, plus tire rotations and inspections. You’ll work in a clean, safe shop environment and support yard tasks when needed.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency using diagnostic tools for troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable with physical work — lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, and standing for long periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and general repair on tractors and trailers.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, suspension, clutch, and A/C systems.
• Conduct tire rotations, alignments, and inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.
• Assist with shop and yard duties as needed.
