Base pay range

$26.00/hr - $32.00/hr

Ten Mile is a leader in excavating, pipeline road construction, paving, and logistics services, with locations across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. We pride ourselves on being a locally-owned company that offers the advantages of a large organization while maintaining small-town values.

We are looking to hire a self-motivated and career-driven Shop Mechanic for our Maintenance Shop in Washington, PA. Mechanics are expected to bring their own tools. We perform our own State Inspections.

Our fleet includes over 150 vehicles, trailers, and heavy trucks, such as Ford, Peterbilt, Kenworth, XL Trailers, and more. Experience with Cummins engines is a plus. Work hours are typically over 45 hours per week, including some Saturdays. Starting pay is $26/hour for entry-level and up to $32/hour for experienced mechanics.

CDL is not required but highly preferred. An inspection license is also preferred.

Position Requirements:

• Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment
• Operate diagnostic instruments and various tools
• Test, service, and repair vehicles and equipment
• Inspect and replace parts as needed
• Repair various systems such as brakes, electrical, fuel, hydraulic, and more
• Evaluate and schedule repairs
• Test equipment post-repair for proper performance
• Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections
• Provide emergency assistance when needed
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience with vehicle, trailer, and heavy truck maintenance
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a DOT card
• Pass pre-employment drug, background, and MVR checks
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime
• Ability to wear PPE and work outdoors in various conditions
