Job summary

Deans Services in Leesburg, FL is seeking a Shop Mechanic to join our Fleet & Equipment Maintenance team. You will work in a dedicated shop, maintaining company vehicles and small equipment used by our field service teams.

The role focuses on small engines, oil changes, brake work, tire rotations, and basic vehicle upkeep. You must have your own tools and be able to work well in a team; forklift experience is a plus. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with weekends off.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain small engines (2-cycle and 4-cycle) on equipment.

• Operate a forklift and help with loading/unloading deliveries as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and proper storage of parts and tools.

Shop Mechanic - Deans Services

Deans Services is looking for a Mechanic to join our Fleet & Equipment Maintenance team in Leesburg. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with small engines, maintaining equipment, and helping keep a fleet running smoothly.

You'll work in a dedicated shop environment maintaining company vehicles and small equipment used by our field service teams.

Job Details

• Location: Leesburg, FL
• Schedule: Monday-Friday | Typically 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM | No weekends
• Pay: Starting at $20 per hour
• Position: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

Repair and maintain small engines, including 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines on equipment such as backpack blowers, trimmers, sprayers, and other field equipment. Perform basic vehicle maintenance including oil changes, brake work, tire rotations, and fluid or filter replacements. Assist with maintaining company vehicles and fleet equipment to ensure they remain reliable and ready for daily operations. Operate a forklift and assist with loading and unloading deliveries when needed. Maintain a clean, organized shop and help keep equipment, parts, and tools properly stored and stocked.

A Typical Day

Your day will be spent in our equipment maintenance shop helping keep our fleet vehicles and field equipment running smoothly. You may start the morning inspecting and diagnosing issues with small engines and equipment used by our field technicians, such as backpack blowers, and trimmers. Throughout the day you'll perform repairs and routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire service, and other basic vehicle upkeep. You may also assist with preparing equipment for technicians heading out into the field, receiving and unloading parts or equipment deliveries, and helping keep the shop clean, organized, and well stocked so everything runs efficiently.
