Job summary

EMERY SAPP & SONS is seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic to join our Equipment team. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing equipment issues and performing preventative maintenance to keep machinery operating at peak performance.

You will work closely with other departments to ensure efficient use of company resources, maintain equipment-related reports, and identify process improvements to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a construction setting.
• Strong technical and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair company equipment, including heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues and develop solutions.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for equipment use.
• Manage relationships with vendors and equipment manufacturers; assist with contract negotiations.
• Develop and maintain equipment-related reports and metrics for stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic to join our Equipment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing equipment issues, as well as performing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
