Job summary

B Street Collision Center in Olathe, KS is seeking a Shop Manager who leads from an eyes-on-production mindset and partners with the Office manager to ensure smooth communication from front door to shop floor.

The role emphasizes enforcing policies, building a positive culture, supervising safety and OSHA standards, overseeing leases and permits, interviewing and training staff, and using various management and estimating systems to meet financial goals while learning every department for strong

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in auto body/auto dealership industry preferred.
• Must be able to lift and manage parts >50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shop operations with an eyes-on-production mindset.
• Collaborate with Office manager to ensure front-to-floor communication.
• Enforce policies from the Employee Manual.
• Identify and maintain a positive team culture.
• Oversee quality control checks and safety/OSHA standards.
• Confirm leases, licenses, and permits are current.
• Interview, hire, and train employees.
• Utilize management and estimating systems.
• Understand business financials and meet financial goals.
• Train across departments before assuming Store Manager responsibilities.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A SHOP MANAGER?

• Majority of time spent in shop leading from an eyes-on-production mindset
• Partner with a Office manager to ensure excellent communication from the front door to shop floor
• Implementing and holding employees accountable to policies outlined in B Street Employee Manual
• Identify, create, and maintain positive culture in a team
• Take part and ensure quality control checks are being completed
• Ensure employees meeting safety and OSHA standards
• Assuring all necessary leases, licenses, and permits are current and in place
• Interviewing, selecting, and training of employees
• Utilize a variety of management and estimating systems
• Understands business financials and meet financial goals
• Spend time training in each department before taking on Store Manager responsibilities to ensure you are set up for success as a leader and fully understand all facets of business

HERE ARE OUR NON-NEGOTIABLES

• Maintain a Monday – Friday 6:45am - 5:00pm schedule
• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the auto body / automotive / dealership industry, or relatable field preferred but not required. We will teach and train the right candidate.
• Must be able to lift, squat, kneel, bend and manage car parts in excess of 50 pounds
• You must have a valid driver’s license
