ANDRITZ Clean Air Technologies in Ruston, LA is seeking an experienced Shop Lead for our manufacturing facility. The role is on a swing shift from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM with a shift differential and hands-on leadership responsibilities.

You will organize daily work, train employees, and maintain high safety and quality standards while coordinating with production management and quality control to keep work moving safely and efficiently.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in fabrication, production, assembly, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read measurements and calculate material requirements and tolerances.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and product quality.

Responsabilidades

• Lead day-to-day shop workflow and direct employees based on production priorities.
• Help ensure daily and weekly production goals and customer delivery schedules are met.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
• Train employees on the proper use of fabrication tools and equipment.
• Communicate production, scheduling, equipment, and workflow issues to the Fabrication/Production Manager.
• Coordinate with Quality Control to address priorities and maintain product quality.
• Perform hands-on fabrication and assembly work as needed.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment to assemble components.
• Assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts and components according to specifications.
• Test and measure parts to verify tolerances and quality requirements.
• Ensure equipment is properly cleaned, serviced, and stored at the end of each shift.
• Help identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, workflow, and production efficiency.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive shop environment.
• Follow and reinforce all ANDRITZ safety requirements, including the ANDRITZ 8 Life-Saving Rules.

ANDRITZ is hiring an experienced Shop Lead for our Ruston, Louisiana manufacturing facility. Due to increased production demand, this position is currently scheduled on swing shift from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM and receives a shift differential.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with strong manufacturing or fabrication experience who can organize daily work, help keep production on schedule, train employees, and maintain high standards for safety and quality.

You’ll work closely with other shop leads, production management, and quality control to keep work moving safely and efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

Required

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience in fabrication, production, assembly, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on manufacturing skills.
• Ability to read measurements and accurately calculate material requirements and part tolerances.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple production needs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and product quality.
• Ability to work the 3:30 PM-2:00 AM swing shift.

Preferred

• Previous lead, team lead, or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in steel manufacturing or fabrication.
• Experience training or providing work direction to production employees.

Leadership Responsibilities

As Shop Lead, you will provide day-to-day work direction, training, task prioritization, and guidance to shop employees. You’ll also provide input to management regarding staffing needs, training, scheduling, and production concerns.

This position does not independently make hiring, termination, compensation, or disciplinary decisions.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, climb, and balance as required.
• Ability to use hands and arms to operate tools and equipment.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing/shop environment and may involve moving equipment, forklifts, airborne particles, electrical equipment, and moderate to high noise levels.
