Job summary

Sundt is seeking an Ironworker Welder/Fabricator (Shop) to lay out, weld, and fabricate structural steel components. Candidates should be experienced with AWS D1.1/D1.6 and/or ASME IX, able to read blueprints, and prepared to pass a weld test and drug screen.

Proficiency in layout, cutting, joining, and shaping steel for various structural products is required, with rigorous safety standards and potential for multi-craft collaboration on projects.

Qualifications

• Ability to read drawings and specifications, safety and quality standards.
• Minimum three to six years in the ironworker trade.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Share knowledge with crew and mentor others.
• Eliminate waste such as waiting, rework and material handling.
• Perform precise trade mathematics and layout calculations.
• Inspect workmanship for plan compliance and take corrective action.
• Lift and move heavy items up to 50 pounds.
