Job summary

Sundt is seeking an Ironworker Welder/Fabricator (Shop) in Tucson, AZ to fabricate and weld structural components per blueprints. Experience with AWS D1.1/D1.6 and ASME IX is preferred; weld tests use 1/2" carbon steel with open root in 2G/3G positions, via GMAW and FCAW. A pre-employment drug screen and weld test are required.

Candidates must read drawings, perform cuts and joins, and shape metal to spec. Minimum experience ranges from 3–6+ years in ironworking at different levels, with strong

Qualifications

• Able to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Minimum of 3+ years (Level I) to 6+ years (Level Sr.) in ironworker trade.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lay out and perform structural steel erection and fabrication work.
• Interpret plans and specifications to ensure compliance and quality.
• Inspect work and correct deficiencies with foreman guidance.
• Lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain safety, teamwork, and productive work practices.
