Job summary

Sundt Enterprise is seeking an experienced Ironworker to plan, lay-out and perform all types of structural steel erection and fabrication in accordance with plans, specs, codes and industry standards. You will work with other trades as directed by supervision and follow directions from a foreman.

Applicants must read drawings and specifications, comply with safety and quality standards, and possess strong trade math skills along with proven verbal and written communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Read and understand drawings, specs, safety and quality standards; use trade tools effectively.
• 3+ to 6+ years experience in industrial/commercial construction as ironworker.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Share knowledge and teach others.
• Eliminate waste (waiting, rework, transport, storage, time).
• High proficiency in trade mathematics.
• Inspect subordinates' work for accuracy and compliance; explain deficiencies and rectify.
• Lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds.
• Seek improvements and learn from others.
• Maintain positive relationships within the crew.
• Produce high quality work safely and productively.
• Provide materials, tools, equipment, and information as needed.
