Job summary

Allied Mechanical in Ontario, CA is seeking a Shop Helper for 1st and 2nd shifts. You will assist in Deburr, Assembly, Shipping or Production Control, operate a forklift, and help with setup/break-downs under supervision. The role emphasizes safety and reliability on a busy shop floor.

Qualifications include at least 1 year in a shop environment, general mechanical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Overtime and weekend work are required; forklift certification is a plus.

• One year of experience in a shop/production environment.
• General mechanical ability.
• Forklift experience or ability to become certified.
• Familiarity with hand tools (wrenches, power tools).
• Ability to work overtime and weekends on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Cleans shop areas and machines, provides light facilities duties.
• Assists in Deburr, Assembly, Shipping or Production Control (forklift, inventory).
• May assist machinists with setups/break-downs.
• Performs various inspections as necessary (e.g., crane).
