Job summary

M&M Talent Group in Houston, TX is seeking a Shop Helper to assist with structural fitting and fabrication in a busy industrial shop. This role is ideal for someone with construction or shop experience who is dependable, hardworking, and eager to learn.

You will support fitters with layout, measuring, and assembly, prepare materials and tools, read basic drawings, and maintain a safe, organized work area while complying with PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or shop experience preferred.
• Experience using hand and power tools is a plus.
• Ability to read measurements and basic drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist Structural Fitters with layout, measuring, fitting, and assembly of structural components.
• Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for daily projects.
• Assist with positioning, aligning, and securing structural materials.
• Use hand and power tools safely and properly.
• Read and follow basic measurements, drawings, and instructions.
• Move and organize materials throughout the shop.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Perform general shop and labor duties as assigned.

Pay:$17–$19/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Saturday | 6:00 AM–4:30 PM

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced fitters.
• Must be available to work Monday through Saturday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM.
