Job summary

InterConnect Wiring in Fort Worth, TX seeks a experienced supervisor to lead a production team in aerospace sheet metal manufacturing. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency, with responsibilities spanning attendance, training, and prioritization of tasks.

You will liaise with inspectors, inventory, and engineering to meet delivery windows. The position requires strong leadership, 5+ years in aerospace sheet metal, and knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a relevant field.
• 5+ years in aerospace sheet metal manufacturing/assembly supervision.
• Understanding of commercial and government requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership and motivational abilities.
• Strong organizational and multi-project management skills.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise personnel including attendance, labor entry, performance, and adherence to policies.
• Prioritize and assign responsibilities including job assignments and shop cleanup.
• Coordinate production priorities with inspectors, testers, and inventory staff.
• Provide one-on-one training and instruction as needed.
• Ensure materials, tools, equipment, and training needed are available.
• Evaluate quality and production issues; implement corrective actions.
• Maintain open communication with shifts and other departments.
• Conduct regular department meetings.
• Perform annual performance and compensation reviews; handle disciplinary actions.
• Resolve employee disputes and ensure on-time shipment within customer windows.
• Support quality policy by handling problem reports and corrective actions.

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred

Five plus years aerospace industry sheet metal manufacturing/assembly and/or supervision

Understanding of commercial and government requirements for sheet metal manufacturing

Effective leadership and motivational skills

Job Description

Manage

• Supervise personnel including attendance, labor entry, performance, and adherence to InterConnect policies and procedures.
• Evaluate, prioritize, and assign responsibilities including job assignments, shop clean-up, etc.
• Coordinate production priorities with inspectors, testers, and inventory personnel.
• Provide one-on-one training and instruction to personnel as needed.
• Ensure the materials, tools, equipment and training needed to efficiently complete each assignment are provided to personnel.
• Evaluate quality, efficiency, and other production issues; develop and implement strategies and processes to improve or correct issues.
• Maintain open, accurate communication with counterparts from other shifts, and with colleagues from other departments including sales, purchasing, engineering, training, etc.
• Conduct regular department meetings.
• Conduct annual performance and compensation reviews for personnel; reprimand and terminate personnel as needed.
• Resolve employee disputes.
• Ensure product is shipped within the customer required window.

Quality

• Support company activities designed to maintain the four elements of the quality policy including the initiation and disposition of quality problem reports.
• Be aware of and observe, Interconnect policies and procedures.
• Prepare Certificates of Compliance.
• Provide instruction to personnel regarding quality issues; implement corrective action.
• Be aware of, and adhere to, the customer's controlled documents and requirements.
• Be aware of customer-requested changes; evaluate their impact on production and make adjustments as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Five plus years experience in the Aerospace Industry Sheet Metal Manufacturing/assembly and/or assembly supervision.
• Understanding of commercial and government requirements for Sheet Metal Manufacturing.
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Quality conscience with knowledge of AS9100 REV. D and ISO9001 standards.
• Effective leadership and motivational skills.
• Ability to Run all Machines including CNC, Lathe, Punch press, and Brake Press with Effective Training and communication skills. (Programming experience is a plus)
• Effective organizational skills.
• Effective management skills including delegating responsibilities and managing multiple projects.
• Spanish/English bilingual preferred.
