Job summary

INTERCONNECT WIRING in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Shop Foreman Assistant to supervise assembly personnel, coordinate priorities with inspectors and inventory, and ensure the availability of materials, tools, and training to complete tasks efficiently.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and organizational skills, with aerospace experience preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus; on-site work in Fort Worth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college preferred.
• Experience in aerospace wiring harness assembly or supervision preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and customer document control is beneficial.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities; bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise personnel including attendance, labor entry, performance, and adherence to InterConnect policies and procedures.
• Organize and assign responsibilities for assemblers including job assignments, training, meetings, shop clean up, etc.
• Help coordinate production priorities with inspectors, testers, and inventory personnel.
• Ensure the materials, tools, equipment and training needed to efficiently complete each assignment are provided to personnel.
• Supervise assembly personnel, attend meetings, and update performance chart data in the absence of the shop foreman.
• Stage lean lines, assist with parts, tooling and any issues.
• Support company activities designed to maintain the four elements of the quality policy including the initiation and disposition of quality problem reports.
• Be aware of and observe Interconnect policies and procedures.
• Be aware of, and adhere to, the customer’s controlled documents and requirements.
• Be aware of customer-requested changes; evaluate their impact on production and make adjustments as needed.
• Work with Quality Control and Production Leads in regard to rework and rejected product in order to quickly act on any potentially late projects.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma. Some college preferred.
• Experience in the aerospace industry either in wiring harness assembly and/or assembly supervision.
• Understanding of commercial and government requirements for wiring harness assembly.
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Quality conscience with knowledge of ISO standards.
• Effective leadership and motivational skills.
• Effective communication skills.Effective organizational skills.
• Spanish/English bilingual preferred.
