Empower Rental Group in Calvert City, KY is seeking a Shop Foreman to assist the Branch Manager in daily shop operations and oversee maintenance and repair of owned vehicles and equipment. The role involves coordinating technicians, reviewing work orders, and ensuring safety and efficiency in the shop.

The candidate should have extensive heavy equipment knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to train and mentor staff while maintaining records and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in the heavy equipment industry/construction is preferred.
• A Valid Driver’s License and the Ability to Drive Company Vehicles may be required on a case-by-case basis.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, manufacturers, vendors, and subordinates.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation, maintenance and repair, powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drivetrains.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment for safety and maintenance to manufacturer specifications.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues with heavy equipment powertrain, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks such as changing filters and fluids.
• Supervise daily maintenance and repair of a large number of owned vehicles and equipment.
• Prioritize repair work based on business needs and demands.
• Provide technical guidance and training to technicians with schematics and service bulletins.
• Maintain and prepare reports and ensure proper documentation of work orders.
