Job summary

Gravity Power & Rental is seeking a Shop Foreman 1 to lead a team of mechanics and shop hands. The role emphasizes technical oversight, training, and efficient maintenance of Gravity-owned fleet.

You will supervise work quality, safety compliance, and on-call support to ensure timely service calls. Candidates should have hands-on experience with heavy equipment, be able to read schematics and owner manuals, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old and maintain insurability.
• Experience with detailed schematics, owner manuals, and product labels.
• Ownership of tools for complex and specialty repairs.
• Ability to operate and test heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develops a consistent schedule for Mechanics and Shop Hands for preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots equipment including fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and propane systems.
• Audits documentation, timesheets, checklists, and repair orders promptly.
• Manages and orders parts for equipment; keeps work area clean and organized.
• Trains, develops, and mentors staff; conducts monthly safety trainings.
• On-call duties and adherence to safety policies.
