Shop Foreman

Shop Foreman - Fowler Dodge *

We need a shop foreman who knows how to keep employees — and customers — happy. As our new shop foreman, you will direct activities related to the service and repair of client vehicles, coordinate the acquisition of automotive equipment, and maintain our operations and maintenance facilities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain an effective dispatch system.
  • Schedule shop work to maximize productivity according to dealership policies and technician skills.
  • Prioritize and control all comebacks for proper and prompt attention.
  • Review job status frequently, log updates, and report changes to service advisors or customers.
  • Ensure technicians follow warranty material procedures.
  • Maintain professional contact with service customers.
  • Keep an organized and current repair log.
  • Review repair orders to ensure work completion and accuracy.
  • Schedule maintenance for service vehicles and equipment.
  • Prepare a list of needed tools, supplies, and repairs, and review with the service manager.
  • Coordinate parts requirements with the parts department and inform customers of special order arrivals.
  • Report repetitive shortages to the parts and service managers for corrective action.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Perform repairs efficiently and accurately, adhering to standards.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
  • Communicate with parts to obtain needed components.
  • Handle parts for warranty or customer requests appropriately.
  • Inspect vehicles for safety or additional service needs and communicate with service advisors.
  • Document all work performed and recommended.
  • Supervise apprentice technicians as assigned.
  • Report machinery issues to supervisors.
  • Ensure vehicles are kept clean and notify of any changes.
  • Operate tools and equipment safely.
  • Report safety issues immediately.
Education and Experience

Minimum of 5 years Stellantis experience, with Phase 3 completion and EV Certification.

Requirements

Valid Driver's License and acceptable MVR.

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand, walk, sit, handle objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, smell, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and procedures; write reports; speak effectively before groups.
