Job summary

A.C. Schultes of Delaware, Inc. is seeking a Shop Foreman to lead day-to-day shop operations at our Bridgeville, DE location. The role requires overseeing maintenance of gasoline and diesel engines, supervising repairs, and ensuring DOT records are accurate. Travel to job sites in the Delmarva area may be required.

Ideal candidates are dependable, with a focus on reliability and achieving results. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• Oversee day-to-day shop operations.
• Knowledge of operating principles and maintenance of gasoline & diesel-powered engines.
• Inspecting, repairing and maintaining equipment & vehicles.
• Resolving issues with equipment on the job site.
• Maintain detailed DOT vehicle records.
• Help determine inventory levels, parts and supplies and ordering parts and supplies as needed.
• Able to operate forklift for off-loading freight & moving equipment.
• Organize & maintain tools.
• Mechanic experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shop operations and staffing to ensure timely work.
• Perform or supervise servicing and repairs on gas/diesel engines.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain equipment and vehicles.
• Track and maintain DOT and compliance records.
• Manage inventory levels and ordering of parts and supplies.
• Operate forklift to unload equipment and position items.
• Keep tools organized and maintained in working order.
