Job summary

U-Haul Shop Foreman role: you will work as the right hand of the Shop Manager to keep the shop running smoothly, coordinating repair flow and supervising staff. Whether you are starting out or have supervisory vehicle-repair experience, U-Haul is the place for you.

We maintain the largest fleet of trucks and trailers and you will contribute to keeping them in top condition with strong teamwork and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

  • Experience dismounting, balancing and mounting tires.
  • Experience in automotive operating systems and technology.
  • Expertise with vehicle batteries and electrical systems.
  • Understanding in the area of vehicle-collision repair and estimating.
  • Ability to build and rebuild trailer components including brake system and equalizers.
  • Familiarity with automotive measuring and diagnostic tools.
  • Driver’s license and the ability to maintain a clean record.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate the flow of equipment into and within the shop.

Shop Foreman Primary Responsibilities:

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
