Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing.

Position:
Shop Foreman

  • Supervise and coordinate all shop floor activities during assigned shifts
  • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of fabricators and welders
  • Plan daily production schedules and allocate workloads effectively
  • Ensure projects meet deadlines, budget, and quality standards
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment (5S)
  • Interpret and verify technical drawings and blueprints
  • Provide hands-on welding and fabrication support (MIG, TIG, FCAW)
  • Communicate effectively with Project Managers, Day/Swing Shift Leads, and upper management
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new shop employees
  • Perform quality control checks and approve parts for shipment
  • Identify process improvements and lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate documentation of production metrics and shop activities

Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour, DOE
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.Who We Are:
We are a dynamic and growing metal fabrication company located in NE Portland, known for delivering precision-crafted products across a wide range of industries. Our team is committed to high-quality craftsmanship, innovation, and safety. We're currently looking for a Shop Foreman to lead our production floor, manage daily operations, and support our fabrication team.What You’ll Do:
As the Shop Foreman, you will play a critical leadership role in managing day-to-day operations, supervising personnel, ensuring productivity targets are met, and maintaining safety and quality standards. You will be hands-on with fabrication tasks, while also overseeing scheduling, training, and communication across shifts.

  • Supervise and coordinate all shop floor activities during assigned shifts
  • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of fabricators and welders
  • Plan daily production schedules and allocate workloads effectively
  • Ensure projects meet deadlines, budget, and quality standards

What You Need to Have:
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of proven experience in a supervisory or lead role
  • Expertise in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, FCAW)
  • Strong understanding of shop drawings, blueprints, and fabrication processes
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • Experience scheduling teams and managing shop workflow
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and operating power tools
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Management Experience
  • Class 2 or Class 3 Fabricator certification
  • Experience with press brakes, spot welders, layout, and metal finishing
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
