Job description

Bayside Fire is seeking a diligent shop foreman to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse team. This position will be responsible for coordinating and managing all warehouse activities on a daily basis, including but not limited to, issuing and maintaining inventory of tools, equipment and consumable items used by field and shop personnel and ensuring the delivery of all materials and tools from the warehouse to the jobsites. A successful shop foreman will be highly organized and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform various warehouse procedures, including proper and orderly storage of various supplies and equipment.
2. Operate a forklift and other warehouse delivery vehicles, machines and equipment.
3. Prioritize and schedule work.
4. Meet schedules and timelines.
5. Lift and carry heavy loads.
6. Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
7. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
8. Work with minimal supervision and perform independent tasks.
9. Oversee storage, inventory accuracy, material and supplies stored at the warehouse.
10. Maintain control of tool and equipment inventories, ensuring that all equipment is properly operating and maintained, keeping replacement costs to a minimum.
11. Maintain secure, clean, and organized storage areas and establish warehousing standards when necessary.
12. Oversee, coordinate, and expedite material deliveries according to Jobsite schedules.
13. Enforce safety regulations and protocols.
14. Implement strategies to optimize workflow and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Valid Driver's License.
3. 3 Years' Experience as a shop foreman or similar.
4. Experienced Forklift Driver.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Experience in Fire Sprinkler Industry preferred.
